Chad Michael Cahoon, 41, of Orangeville, died suddenly Sunday, December 23, 2012.
Born November 24, 1971 in Freeport he was the son of Craig and Joann (Folgate) Cahoon. He married Julie Becke September 25, 1999.
He was the owner and operator of Cahoon Construction, Inc.
Chad was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Freeport.
Surviving is his wife, Julie and his children, Madison, Brayden, and Delaney Cahoon all of Orangeville; his parents; his paternal grandparents, Carl and Jean Cahoon of Orangeville; his brothers, Chris (Beth Arnold) of Orangeville and Cory (Dana) Cahoon of Hampshire. He is also survived by his father-in-law Daylon (Beth) Becke, his mother-in-law Linda Carter, Kristy and Dennis Tripp, Paul and Manie Homan, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends Rob and Stephanie Robb and their children. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Carl and Beulah Folgate.
Chad was the life of the party and lived life on the edge with no regrets. He loved watching his children play sports, dance, and race snowmobiles. Chad had just completed his first national snocross race on his 41st birthday. He was a member of the Cedarville Snow Travelers and was formally on the board of the Rockford Homebuilder's Association. He also loved the farm and showing sheep with his family and friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Faith United Methodist Church in Freeport. At Chad's request a celebration of his life will be held at Route 20 Bar & Grill following the service.
There will be a gathering for friends and relatives 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Faith United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
