Freeport - Charlotte R. Harris was born November 29th, 1926 in Madison Wisconsin, to Louis West and May (Otteson) West. Charlotte passed away July 3rd, 2020 at Freeport Manor Court where she resided.
Charlotte graduated from high school in Stoughton, Wisconsin.
Charlotte married the love of her life, Vern M. Harris.
Charlotte was a resident of Freeport, IL. She worked at Newell as a laborer, where she retired from in 1988 after 30 years.
Charlotte was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Freeport.
Charlotte is survived by her two sons, Robert (Rebecca) Carpenter of Texas; Mark Carpenter of Illinois
One daughter, Diane Carpenter of Colorado. Two stepsons: Steve Harris; Tom (Lori) Harris and
one stepdaughter: Cathy Harris
2 grandchildren Susan (Chris) Johnson; Jennifer Carpenter and 3 great grandchildren.  Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Marcia Vondra; 3 sisters Norma Heartwig, Berdessa Erickson, Marilyn Neath.
Services will be held at Walker Mortuary on Wednesday July 8th, 2020 at 2pm, with a visitation starting at 1pm the same day.
