Cheryl M. Bradt, 66, of Rock City passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Born September 11, 1948 in Freeport she was the daughter of Merl and Marie (Ruef) Niedermeier. Cheryl was a 1966 graduate of Dakota High School and then attended Highland Community College. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Church of Epleyanna, where she served many positions such as secretary, youth advisor and Awana teacher. On August 19, 1978 she and Clifford Bradt were united in marriage at St. Paul Church of Epleyanna in rural Davis. She worked at Micro Switch for ten years as a buyers aide, then for 20 yrs at The Volunteer at Durand. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, having a way of making them feel loved. Surviving are her parents of Rock City; her husband Clifford of Rock City; children Kyle Bradt of Ridott, Krista (Aaron) Raatjes of New Lenox; two brothers Alan (Sue) Niedermeier of Des Moines, IA, Ross (Cris) Niedermeier of Rock City; sister Peggy (Glenn) Warden of Des Moines, IA; as well as many nieces, nephews and their children. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 27, 2015 from 3-7 p.m. at St. Paul Church of Epleyanna. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Church with Reverend Scott Naevestad and Reverend Dick Thompson officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be at St. Paul Church Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name.
