Cheryl Kay Miller, 77 of Freeport, IL passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Saturday, June 4 ^th .

Cheryl was born on June 16, 1944, growing up in Shannon, IL attending Shannon High School.

On April 18, 1965 Cheryl married the love of her life, Robert William "Bill" Miller.  They spent 57 wonderful years together starting in Shannon, IL.  They have resided in Freeport, IL since 1999.  They had one son, Shawn.

Cheryl and Bill loved to travel over the years.  Her favorite trip was attending the 2015 Kentucky Derby in person, while celebrating their 50 ^th wedding anniversary.

Cheryl is survived by her husband Bill, son Shawn, nieces Nicole Miller (John Knebel), Whittney (Greg) Zumdahl and Ashley (Jameson) Burkholder, two great-nieces Mia Knebel and Eastyn Zumdahl, and two great-nephews Cole Knebel and Greyson Zumdahl.  She also leaves behind very special friends Jan and Marge Nicol.

A public visitation for Cheryl will be held this Saturday, June 11th from 1-4pm at Walker Mortuary at 321 W Main St in Freeport. There will be no funeral services.
