Chester L Homan, 98, of Lena Living Center formerly of Freeport died Friday March 18, 2011 at the Center. Born March 20, 1912 in Rural Stephenson County he was the son of Lewis and Annie (Koppein) Homan. He was a veteran of the United States Army, prior to going to work for the Northwestern Telephone Company. On June 27, 1944 he and Evelyn Rhinehart were united in marriage and she preceded him in death. Surviving are a son Chester Homan Jr. of Peoria, AZ; two sisters Florence Busjohn and Verda Fryer both of Lena. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
