Lake Summerset- Davis
Chester T. Mendygral, 70 of Lake Summerset died Monday January 7, 2008 at his home.
Born July 20, 1937 in Chicago he was the son of Ludwig and Aniela (Rekucki) Mendygral. He and Patricia Block were married May 29, 1965 in Chicago. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 39 yrs retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand.
He is survived by his wife of Lake Summerset; 2 daughters Ann (John) Brady of St. Charles, Katherine (Mark) Ernst of Ankeny, IA; 2 sons David (Josefina) Mendygral of Aurora, Andy (Tracy) Mendygral of Itasca; 6 grandchildren Callie, Bridger, Charly, Elizabeth, Matthew, Chase; one brother Stanley (Babe) Mendygral, of Elgin, 2 sisters Lillian Kohut of Chicago, Adeline Wojs of Wheeling; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral mass will be held Friday January 11, 2008 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church 602 W. Main St. in Durand with Msgr. Eric R. Barr officiating.
Cremation rites will be accorded with entombment of remains in the St. Patrick's Cemetery at Irish Grove.
There will be no visitation. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
Funeral arrangements were completed by the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Dakota.
