Christopher David Rodriguez, 44, of Freeport, IL passed suddenly on Monday, December 24, 2018 in his home.  Chris was born in Chicago, IL on January 25, 1974 to Dr. Donna Cox-Rodriguez and Merci R. Rodriguez. Chris had a great sense of humor and the art of sarcasm since he was a small child. He was a loving and kind son and brother. Chris, affectionately known as Uncle Buddy, was the best uncle ever to his nieces and nephews.

Chris is survived by his parents, Donna and Merci Rodriguez of Freeport; sister and brothers, Andrea (Brian) Myzia of Freeport, Thomas Haiklas of Freeport, George McDonald of Swansea, IL, Arturo (Monica) Rodriguez of Swansea, IL; nephews and nieces, Tino Hernandez of San Antonio, TX, Mateo Diaz of Freeport, Diego Hernandez-Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, Esteban Diaz of Freeport, Emma Myzia of Freeport, Madison Rodriguez of Swansea, Mackenzie Rodriguez of Swansea, Marina Cruz of Freeport; his cousins who were brothers to him, Felipe Cruz Jr of Freeport, Nick Cruz of Dekalb, IL and numerous other uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held at Walker Mortuary 321 W Main Street, Freeport, IL. Visitation is at 12:00pm with a memorial service at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Condolences may be shared with his family at www.walkermortuary.com.
