ClaraBelle Mae (Klipping) Meier, 82 of Dakota died Thursday September 24, 2009 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born June 5, 1927, she was the daughter of Ephriam and Clara (Brinkmeier) Klipping. She graduated from Lena High School in 1945. She married Stanley Meier on September 9, 1945. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2008. They farmed in the Dakota area their entire life. She was a member of Afolkey United Methodist Church.
She is survived by; one daughter, Sheila (James) Rhudy of Maui, Hawaii; one son, Eugene "Huey" (Ellen) Meier of Dakota; six grandchildren Scott (Debbie) Ainslie of Minneapolis MN, Sarah (Ryan) Zeller of Fort Hood, TX, Matthew (HeiDee) Meier of Dakota, Aaron (Joy Kirchman) Ainslie of Melbourne, FL, Sharon (James) Ricker of Palatine IL, Shannon Ainslie of NY; seven great grandchildren Hannah, Taylor and Emily Ainslie, Emma and Ben Zeller, Kooper and Finley Meier; brother Don (Deloris) Klipping of Freeport.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 62years, one infant son, Dickie Lee, parents, brother Robert (Marjorie) Klipping and sister Irene (Burdette) Grier.
Visitation will be Sunday 1:30 pm until 4:00 p.m. at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Afolkey with the Rev. Cheonn Eui Oh officiating. Burial will be in the Dakota Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
