Clarence L. Baysinger, 82, of Freeport, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born September 26, 1928 in Lena he was the son of Clarence H. and Esther M. (Kohl) Baysinger. He married Joyce E. Seaman June 23, 1962 in Freeport.
Clarence worked for 21 years for the Freeport Park District.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
His memberships included Faith United Methodist Church, Pearl City American Legion, and Northwest Illinois Chapter Korean War Veterans Association.
Surviving is his wife, Joyce of Freeport; his daughter, Diane Kay (Marvin) Simpkins of Perry, Georgia; 1 sister, Betty Matthews of Freeport; 1 brother, Allen (Evelyn) Baysinger of Freeport, 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church. Entombment will be in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. until time of service at the Faith United Methodist Church.
