Obituary

Cody William Penticoff, age 18 of Davis, IL, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. He was born August 6, 2006, the son of Chris and Keri (Boomgarden) Penticoff.

Cody graduated from Dakota High School with the Class of 2024 and was currently enrolled at Highland Community College studying Criminal Justice. He was an ambitious and driven young man, presently working in the stocking department at Wal-Mart in Monroe, WI and had planned to become a Police Officer when he turned 21. He was also serving on the Rock City Fire Department.

While in high school, Cody was a member of the golf and bowling team which he helped advance to their first state and national bowling title. He showcased his musical talents playing trumpet in the band and leading his underclassman as a teacher's aide. Cody had passion for technology which he used as a member of the Drama Club working in sound and lighting. Additionally, he used his skills to custom build his own gaming computer.

In his free-time Cody loved fishing with his dad and twin brother as well as dirt track racing each week as he worked on the race car in the pits. To most he was shy and reserved but to those who knew him well he was a goofball that brought smiles to many faces. He also had a no-nonsense side and encouraged others to walk a straight line. His generosity and kindness will live on through his donation to the Gift of Hope Organ Donation Society.
