Colleen Kincannon, 76, of rural Dakota passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at her home. Born April 22, 1938 in Freeport she was the daughter of Robert and Marie (Hutmacher) Bloom. She was a graduate of Galena High School. On November 26, 1955 Colleen and Larry Kincannon were united in marriage. She was a longtime supporter of the Friends Forever Humane Society. She had a talent for playing the piano, organ and crocheting. Surviving are her husband Larry of Dakota; children Mary Kincannon of Loveland, CO, Larry Robert (Sandra) Kincannon of Purcellville, VA, Kelley (Derek) Boeger of Rock City; six grandchildren Travis (Jeni) Keith, Mary Elise, Laura, Michael and Maxwell Kincannon, Lukas Boeger; two great grandchildren Ellie and Raegan Keith; two sisters Jackie Houy, Mary Lou Golackson; three brothers Jerry, Jim, Tim Bloom.; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents. A celebration of Colleen's life will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Dakota United Methodist Church, Dakota. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of service at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport.
