Obituary

Conley W. Ditsworth Sr, age 69 of Maricopa, AZ passed away June 10, 2017 at Banner Medical Center in Casa Grande. He was born on January 9, 1948 in Freeport, Illinois to Doris (Brinkmeier) Ditsworth and Clarence "Butch" Ditsworth. He graduated from Dakota High School and attended Highland Community College. He married Julia Thomas on April 6, 1968.
He enlisted in the Army and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of Dakto Defenders and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He retired from Honeywell where he was employed for 42 years. He enjoyed camping, bowling, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Conley is survived by his wife: Julia, his mother: Doris Ditsworth of Freeport, sons: Conley "Lee" Ditsworth of Maricopa, Christopher (Lisa) Ditsworth of Moline, IL, and Chad (Missy) Ditsworth of Muskegon, MI: grandchildren: Kayla, Aaron, Riley and Rylan; and great-grandchildren: Madison and Astraea; sisters: Janice (Al) McAuliffe and Kathy (Butch) Neuschwander both of Freeport.
He was predeceased by his father: Clarence Ditsworth, and a brother: Larry (Laurie) Ditsworth of Cedarville, and a sister: Jean (John) Weaver of Red Oak.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 23rdfrom10:00 AM to 12:00PMat Walker Mortuary in Freeport with the memorial service to follow atnoon. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for The Wounded Warrior Project or donations can be made atwoundedwarriorsproject.orgin his name.
