Connie J. Johnson, "CJ" to most,   age 75 of Baileyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport with family at her side. She was born on December 13, 1949 in Dixon, IL.

CJ worked as a CNA at FHN Memorial Hospital as well as Newell and Burgess Battery. Later she was the first woman hired at Kelly Springfield where she worked for 31 years until retirement. After retirement she had her own lawn care and snow removal business. Also as a chauffer driving a limo.

CJ was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Freeport. She was also a member of and former Union Steward for the United Steel Workers Union. Her hobbies include fishing, hunting, woodworking, and playing cards. She enjoyed going on cruises and going to the casino with her nephew, Jeff. CJ was a very active and fun-loving person who liked staying busy. She was always there to lend a helping hand whether it be building, moving or remodeling. She also loved her dogs.

She is survived by her partner and best friend, Kathy Randecker and her family: Glenda, Juanita (Jim) Dixson, Cheryl, and Alecia; sister, Patricia Lambert; brothers, Larry (Mary) Isenberger ; and Steve Isenberger and; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Junior and June Isenberger; biological mother, Kathleen Grant; and her Uncle Earl, lovingly known as Unkie.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 2700 W. Stephenson Street in Freeport. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
