Cynthia Louise Price, 79, passed away peacefully in Chicago, Illinois, on September 2, 2025.

She was born January 5,1946, in Freeport,Illinois, raised in Rock City, Illinois and graduated from Dakota High School in 1964.

She married the love of her life, Ulan, on February 11, 1967, and they shared 55 wonderful years together. She will  be remembered most for the love she had for her children, Shane, Tiffany and Scott, and grandchildren. Lainey (Caleb), Ethan, and Josie. Spending as much time with them as possible was her greatest pleasure in life. Family was her pride and joy.

She was an active member of her church, St John United Church of Christ, serving on committees, singing in the choir, cooking endless meals and cookies, and always the first to lend a helping hand. She brought kindness, warmth, love and joy to everyone around her.

Surviving are her son, Shane Price of Janesville, Wisconsin and daughter, Tiffany (Scott) Simanek of Chicago, Illinois, grandchildren, Lainey (Caleb Reams) Ethan, and Josie Simanek of Chicago,  and  special cousin Russ Miller whom she loved like a brother.  She  leaves behind a large and caring group of friends, whom she also loved like family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Nancy,  loving husband  Ulan, and parents, Harold and Sylvia Thoren.

A funeral  service will be held in her honor of her life at St. John United  on Saturday, September 6, 2025 with a visitation from 8:30-10:30am immediately followed by a service at 10:30am also at the church.
