Freeport-Dale Kryder Wardlow, 74, of Freeport, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Freeport Rehabilitation and Care Center.
Born July 11, 1931 in Cedarville he was the son of Samuel and Jessie Mae (Kryder) Wardlow. He married Ruth Dwyer on September 19, 1954 in Monroe, Wisconsin.
He worked for Fairbanks Morse, Ernst Roofing, Banner Roofing, and then Malcolm Eaton Enterprises.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Loyal Order of Moose, and the VFW.
Surviving is his wife, Ruth of Freeport; one daughter, Rebecca "Becky" (Dan) Welsch of Patchogue, New York; one son, Bruce (Kim Houck) Wardlow of Freeport; two brothers, Elwood (Rosemary) Wardlow of Sarasota, Florida and Merle (Ladona) Wardlow of Freeport; 3 grandchildren, Matt Wardlow of Freeport, Andrew and Ryan Welsch of Patchogue, New York; one step grandchild, Candi Gross of South Wayne, Wisconsin; 3 step great grandchildren, Doug, Taime, and Angel.
His parents and sister, Ellen Knodle preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be Saturday 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church with Reverend Neville Kretzmann officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for First Lutheran Church.
