Obituary
Daniel L. Bowman, 63, of Freeport, died Friday, September 12, 2008 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born January 26, 1945 in Freeport he was the son of George and Wanda (Kline) Bowman. He married Mildred J. Runkle February 5, 1966.
Dan worked at Micro Switch for about 6 years and then for many years was at FHN Memorial Hospital until his retirement.
His memberships included Immanuel Lutheran Church, Loyal Order of the Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Ham Radio Club.
Surviving is his wife, Mildred of Freeport; 1 godson, Austin LaBudde of Shannon; and Duane (Viola) LaBudde who he considered a brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Reverend Dr. Willis Schwichtenberg and Reverend Ros Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Monday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
Memorials have been established for FHN Cardiac Lab and the Leonard Ferguson Cancer Center.
