Daniel G. Triem, age 65 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home on Friday, June 20, 2025. He was born July 22, 1959 in New Lenox, IL; the son of the late Wayne and Nancy (Reid) Triem.

Dan worked on the family farm in New Lenox which later moved to Cedarville, IL. He later worked for Klein Produce growing tomatoes in New Lenox and for Cable Printing. Dan loved working outside, especially growing his tomatoes. He was known as "Dan-Dan the Tomato Man." He had a great sense of humor. He held a special place in his heart for his dog, Willow, and his nieces, "The Girls." He would take them to the Madison Zoo and Taco Bell where they would eat as many tacos as he could buy.

Dan is survived by his significant other, Linda Sutterlin; brother, Michael (Maggie) Triem; "The Girls," Tammy (Alfred) Triem and Amber (Jose) Triem; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donnie and David.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
