Obituary
Darla J. Cowan, age 40 of Freeport, IL, went home to be with the Lord after losing her courageous battle with kidney failure on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Waverly Place in Stockton, IL. She was born February 10, 1977; the daughter of Walter and Sylvia (Williams) Cowan. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1995.
Darla had worked for Malcom Eaton and participated in the Special Olympics. She enjoyed arts and crafts and loved spending time with her family. Darla loved life and touched many lives in her 40 years.
She is survived by her parents, Walter and Sylvia Cowan of Freeport; sisters, Kristie Worden of Freeport and Cheryl (Erik) Gassman; nephews, Dakotah Worden and Steven, Jacob, Peter, & Andrew Gassman; nieces, Stephanie, Hannah, Grace, Mercy, Hope, Victoria, & Faith; and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Dwight & Margaret Williams and Walter & Mary Jane Cowan.
Cremation rites have been accorded and services will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in her name.Darla J. Cowan's Guestbook
