Darlene Lorraine (Knodle) Snyder, 89, of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Freeport, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 of natural causes at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Shawnee, KS.

She was born September 29, 1927 in Freeport she was the daughter of Orville James Knodle and Vernie Mae (Carr) Knodle. She married Lester Eugene Snyder December 11, 1946. She worked for Fairbanks Morris during World War II and then became a mother and homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Darles (Steve) Kuntz of Leawood, Kansas; son, Brian (Pam) Snyder of Olathe, Kansas; grandchildren, Geoff Kuntz, Darci (Kuntz) Struckmann, Ryan Snyder, and Kyle Snyder; eight great grandchildren; and brother Orville (Skeeter) Knodle. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; 4 brothers; and 6 sisters.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 25th at 10:30 am at Walker Mortuary in Freeport with a visitation beginning at 9:30 am. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
