IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David W.
Crowell
November 6, 1963 – November 9, 2024
David was born on November 6, 1963, in Freeport, IL to Wayne and Brenda Crowell. He was married at St. John UCC church to Shawn Killingbeck on August 23, 2014. He worked at Structo on the paint line, and then a stay-at-home father to his sons after losing his sight. In 2009, he because a licensed massage therapist and provided massages until his lung issues caused him to stop working.
David enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to books, watching movies, listening to a lot of music, and hiding out in our "man cave" in the basement. He loved being a massage therapist and helping others was one of his greatest rewards. His other rewards are our boys, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. Being a big brother was something he took seriously, and he would do anything for his family. He loved bald eagles and collected anything with an eagle on it as well as dreaming he could one day fly like an eagle.
Dave is survived by his husband Shawn Killingbeck; father Wayne Crowell; sisters Bridgette Crowell and Heidi (Jeff) Flynn; sons Jeff Crowell and Sean (Nicole) Crowell; granddaughters Skye Crowell, Trinity Crowell, Hailey Clem, and Allie Clem; grandsons Kyle Clem and Landyn Crowell; and great-granddaughter Ariella Robinson. He is preceded in death by his mother Brenda Crowell; Uncles Bob Kent, Dan Kent, and Bob Snyder; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 14, 2024 beginning at 10am at St, John United Church of Christ with a service to immediately follow at 11:30am. His final resting place will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Condolences can be shared with the family at www. walkermortuary.com.
