Naperville, IL- David W. Gassman, 59, formerly of Freeport, died Thursday July 5, 2007 at his home in Naperville. Born August 15, 1947 in Freeport he was the son of William and Naomi (Monigold) Gassman. David was a graduate of Freeport High School Class of 1965, North Central College in 1969 and Northwestern University Law School. He worked for Fermi National Accelerator Lab in Batavia, IL; he was a member of the Illinois Bar Association and a veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving is his brother, Daniel Gassman of Freeport. He was preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service and burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Peace in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, the Reverend Justin Mapes officiating. There will be no visitation.
