Freeport-David A Lund Sr., 58, of Freeport, died Thursday April 8, 2004, at his home under the care of FHN Hospice.
Born September 17, 1945 in Fennimore, Wisconsin he was the son of Vendel and Ellen (Holman) Lund. He married Darlene Walters March 29, 1969.
A graduate of Beloit Memorial High School he worked at Warner Electric Brake Company in Roscoe for 17 years.
He owned and operated the Curtis Mathes Home Entertainment Center in Freeport for 22 years. He then owned Dave's Coins.
Surviving is his wife, Darlene of Freeport; one daughter, Sonya L. (Bradley) Sager of Freeport; two sons, David A. (Kelly) Lund Jr. of Freeport and Darin A. Lund of Portland, Oregon; one sister, Diane L. (Leo) Homison of Fort Myers, Florida; two brothers, Jeffrey (Jean) Waters of Rockford and Vaughn Elmer of Beloit, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Justin and Michaela Sager, Zachery and Joseph Lund all of Freeport; his in-laws, Richard and Susan Walters of South Beloit, Illinois; and his dog, Garp.
His parents and his grandparents preceded him in death.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be a gathering Saturday 10 a.m. at Walker Mortuary followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Diane Jochum of FHN Hospice officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
