David Anton Rose Sr. 52, of Freeport, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Born November 19, 1960 in Freeport he was the son of Anton and Betty (Roach) Rose Jr.
He married Sherry Fransen March 29, 2010.
David was working for Rocknel Fastener, Inc. in Rockford.
He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Freeport.
Surviving are his wife, Sherry of Freeport; his son, David Anton (Megan) Rose Jr. of Marion, Iowa; step-children, Robert M. (Kelly) Davis of Winslow, and Sheridy Jean (Todd) Mapes of Freeport; two brothers, Ronald (Lisa) Rose and Derek Rose Sr. both of Orangeville; two sisters, Bonita (TJ) Lipps of Ridott and Sharon Rose of Freeport; grandchildren, Olivia and Aubrey Rose; step-grandchildren, William Lee Mapes, Blayr and Torianna Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be 12 noon Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Walker Mortuary. Visitation will be Saturday 10 a.m. until time of service.
Following the service cremation rites will be accorded and his cremated remains will be entombed in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
