He loved watching The Chicago Bears, Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs. He loved going to support school sporting events as well. He loved spending time with family especially his two Grandsons Ryne and Paxton who he helped to raise and was their father figure. He would take them on many adventures, fishing, riding dirt bikes, helping them in the garage, anything he could do to spend time with them.
