Obituary
Freeport-David A. Trenda, 36, of Freeport, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Freeport Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 30, 1967 in St. Paul, Minnesota he was the son of Donald and Renee (Salmon) Trenda. He married Mary R. Cox October 26, 1991 in Freeport.
He was a member of Crossroads Community Church.
An avid sportsman he enjoyed all sports.
Surviving are his wife, Mary of Freeport; one daughter, Tasha Herold of Freeport; his mother, Renee Trenda of Stelle, Illinois; his father, Donald (Sharon) Trenda of Surprise, Arizona; two sisters, Jody Trenda of Streamwood, Illinois and Jenny Trenda of Algonquin, Illinois; paternal grandmother, Florence Trenda of Stillwater, Minnesota; his mother and father in-law, Harry and Barbara Cox of Freeport; two sister in-laws, Lisa (Stuart) Thompson of Leaf River, Illinois and Lori Cox of Freeport; his beloved dogs, Icon and Kramer both at home in Freeport.
His maternal grandmother and his paternal grandparents preceded him in death.
Private funeral services will be held. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Garden.
A celebration of his life for family and friends will be held Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Four Season Banquet Hall.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
