Dayle Johnson Lyons, age 100, of Freeport, IL, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Manor Court in Freeport. He was born January 31, 1922, to the late Alfred and Lola (Johnson) Lyons.  After high school, Dayle served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He met Barbara Spitler while working at Kraft Cheese Company, and later married her on August 2, 1947. They have one daughter. Dayle retired from The Kelly-Springfield Tire Company (Freeport plant) in 1984 after 20 years.

Dayle is survived by his daughter Diana Coppernoll, 2 granddaughters and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and 1 brother. His final resting place is at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
