Debra Smull, 57, passed away at her home on March 23, 2014. Born June 19, 1956 she was the daughter of Robert and Jackie (Magee) Blunt. She married the love of her life, Roger Smull. They were married 35 years until his death January 4, 2010. She was a lifetime employee of Stephenson Nursing Center of Freeport working there for 37 years. Debra was a loving mother, very proud grandma, and dear friend to many. She was a very hard working person with a big kind heart. She was willing to help those in need before herself.
Debra enjoyed cross stitching, being outside, walking with her dear friend, Linda Curler, gossiping, and many other enjoyable things in life. Surviving is her mother, Jackie; her children, John Smull and Melissa (Paul) Schubert; grandson, Noah Schubert; seven sisters; many nieces; nephews, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; husband; step father, Robert Magee; one nephew, one great nephew; both set of grandparents; and two cousins. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 27 from 4-7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary. A memorial has been established. The family would like to thank Four Seasons Bowling Alley and the many people who donated to her Benefit on March 22, 2014.
