Debra Jo Campbell, age 60 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at UW Madison Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born March 15, 1958; the daughter of the late Merle and Leola (Cox) Aeling. She was a 1976 graduate of Freeport High School. Debra married Mark Campbell on June 17, 1978; they had been sweethearts since age 13.

She spent her time as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. She was a Girl Scout Leader and volunteered at school for her children and grandchildren. Debra was a do-it-yourselfer and enjoyed collecting baskets, shopping and going to garage sales. Her family and friends were her whole world and she especially loved playing with her grandkids.

Debra is survived by her husband Mark; children, Michelle (Joshua) Rappuhn of Belvidere, April (Mike) Carey of Freeport, and Justin (Jenna) Campbell of Pecatonica; grandchildren, Charles Gill, Alexis Gill, Christopher Schoenhard, Sabrina Rappuhn, and Maximus Rappuhn; great granddaughter, Avianna Profit; brothers, Daniel (Doris) Aeling and David Aeling; sister, Amy DeRose; and several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Merle Aeling Jr; and sister, Susan Aeling.
