Delia F. Beck, 89, of Rockford, died Friday, January 4, 2008 at Swedish American Hospital.
Born August 3, 1918 in Beloit, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Alfred and Lettie Haas. She married C. Alvin Beck July 20, 1940 in Las Vega, Nevada. He died January 14, 1988.
She graduated from Lakeview High School in Chicago. She attended Pasadena College for cosmetology.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Davis Locker Plant from 1940 to 1969.
Surviving is one son, Gary Beck; 4 grandchildren, Shelly (Jeff) Buseman of Iowa, Scott Beck of Minnesota, Nadene (Jim) Dermody of California, and Curt (Nicole) Yeoman of Loves Park; 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 daughter; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral service will be Thursday 1 p.m. at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Burial will be in the Davis Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday 12 noon until time of service at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home.
