Freeport: Della M. Pearson, 83, of Freeport died Tuesday November 7, 2006 at Stephenson Nursing Center, Freeport. Born September 23, 1923 in El Dorado, Ark.she was the daughter of Charles and Julia (White) Marrable. On December 24, 1950 she married Henry Pearson and he preceded her in death in October of 1993. Della worked at the Chrysler plant in Belvidere for many years and was a founding member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Freeport. Surviving are three sons, Eric, Cecil (Rhonda) and Marvin Pearson all of Freeport; two daughters, Julia King of Safety Harbor, FL, Paula (Michael) Jones of Hoffman Estates; two sisters, Irene (William) Bennett and Shirley (William) Cunningham both of Chicago; three brothers, Charles Franklin of Freeport, James Marrable of Chicago and John Marrable of Atlanta. 22 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her, Parents, husband, one son, Garland Wayne and one infant daughter, Jackqulin, and two sisters, Bonnie Marrable and Lula Hamler. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. A memorial has been established.
