Delmar D. Reiter, 90, of Freeport, died Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Freeport Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Born September 4, 1917 in Lena he was the son of Clyde and Lillie (Hardel) Reiter. He married Ruth Althoff October 26, 1939 in Freeport and she died in March of 1994.
Delmar was a Truck Driver for 25 years, and then worked at Burgess Battery, and then for Micro Switch retiring in 1982.
Surviving are his nieces; nephews; and his care taker, Phyllis Goodsell of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two brothers.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. at the Grandview Cemetery.
There will be a visitation Wednesday 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established in his name.
