Delores M. Saxby, 78, loving mother and grandmother, of Freeport, went to be with her Heavenly Father, Monday, November 5, 2007, at her home in the caring arms of her daughters.
Born February 9, 1929 in Freeport she was the daughter of Roland and Anna (Weegens) Graff. She married David R. Saxby August 11, 1950 and he died August 8, 1988.
She worked at W.T. Rawleigh, Burgess Battery, and then Micro Switch Company.
Surviving are her daughters, Debra (David) Beyer of Freeport, Donna (Richard) Bradt of, Wisconsin, Dawn Saxby (Mark Dailey) of Rockford, Deanna (Michael) Ebert of Ridott, Darla (Mark) Shelly of Lake Summerset, and Doreen (Michael) DeVries of Freeport; 20 special grandchildren; 33 precious great-grandchildren; her siblings, Diane Schlamp of Freeport Darlene Keith of Freeport, Dorothy (Delmer) Strohecker of Freeport, Sandy (Marvin) DeBoer of Apple River, Donald (Marie) Graff of Arkansas, Mary (Richard) Thompson of Freeport, and Cindy (Robert) Kostenbader of Freeport; in-laws, Shirley Graff and Larry Koch both of Freeport; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Funeral service will be Thursday 11 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend John Hollis of First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
