Obituary

Dianne L Runte who was a wife and mother; friend and sister; cousin and aunt/great aunt; concluded her battle with cancer in her home on November 30, 2012. She was born on January 11, 1947.

She was married to Lee Runte for 46 years and has two daughters, Teri Runte, from Freeport, IL and Tracey Runte from McFarland, Wis

She has 3 siblings...a brother, Lyle Kuhlemeyer, of Freeport, IL and 2 sisters April Friedrich from Monroe, Wis. and Nancy Goldsworthy from Ocala, Fl

She has 11 nieces and nephews, Her 2 oldest Nephews were waiting for her in Heaven along with her parents, Nelson and Dorcas Kuhlemeyer, a Great Nephew and Niece and other family and friends. She was "Grandi" which stands for Great Aunt Di. Grandi didn't have any "official" Grandkids but her sister April kindly shared her Grandma" status with Dianne. A child can never have enough Grandmas.

Dianne was a hard worker. She started working as a teenager at the Piggly Wiggly. She worked at Micro Switch for a couple years at the beginning of her marriage. She worked with her parents at their ceramic shop called Tri-D's in downtown freeport during the 1970's and in 1983 she became a Freeport School district bus driver. She drove for 20 years and retired in 2003.

She was a very active member of the Cedarville Baptist Church. She started the Choir in 2001 and if there was a shindig going on with the Church Family you can bet she was right there making it memorable.

Dianne loved to travel and had been to almost every state in the union but her favorite thing about traveling was coming home to her family and friends.

She and Lee loved having people in their home and up until the tuesday before her home-going you could find her laughing around the table with her friends and family. They had many fun times on the farm.

She was a faithful and true, wife, mom, sister, Aunt, Grandi and Dear friend.

There are so many things Dianne did, but the most important was meeting Jesus. There have been hills and valleys in her adventure with God, but anyone who knew her, especially toward the end of her journey. could see the peace and Joy that comes from a relationship with God.

She will be missed so much by so many.
