Dilys J. Midstokke, 84 of Freeport died Monday November 8, 2010 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born April 14, 1926 at Grand Forks, N.D. she was the daughter of Hywel and Muriel (Jones) Rowland. On December 23, 1950 she and Hans Midstokke were united in marriage in Grand Forks, N.D. She was a graduate of the University of North Dakota. For many years she taught at FHS as a Home Economics instructor. She was co-owner in The Needleworks in Freeport. Dilys was a member of First Lutheran Church, PEO Sisterhood and volunteered many years at FHN Hospital. She is survived by her husband of Freeport, daughter Peggy Midstokke of Hendersonville, N.C.; two sons Paul and Keith Midstokke both of Minneapolis, MN.; one brother Trevor (Marilyn) Rowland of San Jose, CA; sister-in-law Jean Rowland of Minneapolis, MN; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert H. Rowland and sister Olwen Maxwell.
