Dixie Ann Watson, 60 of Dakota died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born February 25, 1953 in Rockford she was the daughter of Willard and Henrietta (Hoeschele) Whetsel. Dixie enjoyed her time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter Dezirae Zook of Dakota; grandchildren Autumn, Hailey and Kirstie; two brothers Frank (Cindy) Whetsel, Robert (Kathie) Whetsel; two sisters Karen (Ron) Orris, Cindy Lester. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Daryl, a son Jeff Whetsel. A memorial has been established in her name. Cremation rites will be accorded.
