Freeport-Dolores J. "Laurie" Gift, 72, of Freeport, died Saturday, December 30, 2006, at her home.
Born March 2, 1934 in Freeport she was the daughter of Robert J. and Marie (Wittbecker) Anderson. She married Donald D. Gift March 2, 1952.
Dolores was a woman who was dedicated to her husband and family. She cherished every person she touched and will be greatly missed and loved forever.
Surviving is her husband, Donald of Freeport; five children, Sally (Dave) Puhalla of Clinton, WI, Terry (Diane) Gift of Surprise, AZ, Debra (Mike) Shugars of Freeport, Roberta Zumdahl of Scottsdale, AZ, and Robert "Pete" (Pat) Gift of Cleveland, NC; her grandchildren, Shawna Hartje, Dustin Hartje, Jonathon Puhalla, Jennifer Puhalla, Michael Gift, Ryan Gift, Samantha Gift, Jeremy Brown, Michelle Shugars, Amy Shugars, Charles Zumdahl, John Ferguson, and Joshua Ferguson; ten great grandchildren; four brothers, Jimmy Anderson of Ridott, Harry , Richie, and Jerry "Doc" Anderson all of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Jason Zumdahl; and one brother, Ronnie Anderson.
Funeral service will be Friday 11:00 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
