Donald Lee Dietmeier, 87, of Freeport, died Monday, August 22, 2011, at Lena Living Center in Lena.
Born September 10, 1923 in Monroe, Wisconsin he was the son of Lawrence and Marjorie (Stites) Dietmeier.
He was a World War II Army veteran and the recipient of a Purple Heart.
Donald worked for Loescher's Heating and Air conditioning for many years.
Surviving are his sister, Betty Dietmeier Youtzy of Lena; his sister-in-law, Rosie Dietmeier of Freeport; his nephews, Shawn (Susan) Dietmeier of Freeport Eric (Diane) Dietmeier of Chicago, Philip (Liana) Collalti of Freeport, and Ronald Collalti of Pecatonica; his nieces, Dona Collalti Garret of Arizona and Juliana McCrosy of Chicago; and his very good friend, Henry Quintero of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 1 brother Robert Dietmeier.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no funeral service per Donald's wish.
