Donald R. Foell, 69, of Freeport, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Stephenson Nursing Center.
Born January 30, 1947, in Dubuque, Iowa, he was the son of Reynold F and Agatha (Mergen) Foell.
He owned and operated his own handy man business for many years.
Surviving are his companion, Rita Wand; his children, Amy Goecks of St. Cloud, Minnesota and Joseph (Brenda) Foell of North Carolina; his sisters, Mary Engling of Freeport and Joyce (Ron) Miller of Davenport, Iowa as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his nephews, Richard Engling and Niqulas Essary and his niece, Rachel Engling and his Brother-in-law Ray Engling.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established. The family would like to extend a big thank you to the nurses and staff at Stephenson Nursing Center.
