Donna D. Borchers, age 88 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home in Monroe, WI. She was born on November 17, 1934 in Bay City, MI; the daughter of the late Clifford and Bessie (Hull) Cox. She married Norman F. Borchers on June 27, 1969; He passed in 2004.

Donna retired from Newell Co. where she had worked in quality control for over 35 years. After retiring she volunteered at the Senior Center. She was a member of Crossroads Church of Freeport where she was very active in several groups and activities. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge and the Stephenson County Mounted Patrol. Donna enjoyed bowling, golfing, dancing, and traveling the world in her younger years.

She is survived by three sons, Jeffery (Susan) Brinkmeier of Gatesville, TX, Steven Brinkmeier of Stillman Valley, IL, and Terry Brinkmeier of Tulsa, OK; daughter, Janet (Keith) Keifer of Rockford, IL; 9 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; son, Michael, and daughter, Loretta.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Church in Freeport. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
