Donna I. Davis, age 86 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Pearl Pavilion in Freeport. She was born September 8, 1931; the daughter of the late Edgar and Loretta (Roe) Heiland. She attended Freeport Schools. Donna married William L. Davis in 1950; he passed on July 1, 1981.

She had worked as an inspector for Newell and Micro Switch/Honeywell for 30 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and going shopping, especially trips that involved getting lost or "taking the scenic route" she would say.

Donna is survived by her son, William J. (Betty) Davis of Forreston, IL; daughter, Kristine Smith of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Becky (Vinencio) Ugalde, Rachel (Damion) Nipple, Sandra (Mark) Kuelling, Debbie (Steve) Stevens, Amber (Craig) Wiltshire, and Lauren Smith; and great grandchildren, Sydney, Morgan, Cade, Hannah, Katrina, Emma, Cheyanne, Nate, Victoria, Kyler, Andrianna, Killian, and Dixon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, Father, Mother, And Sister.
