Donna C. Hanson, age 65 of Freeport, IL, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport, IL. She was born November 28, 1951 in Belvidere, IL; the daughter of the late Maynard and June (Prichard) Oakley. She graduated from Belvidere High School.
Donna had worked as a cashier at the Belvidere Shopko. She enjoyed her cats and was an avid Cubs fan. She loved traveling, especially to the Wisconsin Dells. Most of all she loved her family, spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. Donna was very close with her parents and will be happily reunited with them.
She is survived by her daughter, Staci (John Hitchcock) of Ridott, IL and granddaughter, Rhiannon Pattison of Rockford, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard & June.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Walker Mortuary in Freeport with a visitation beginning at 1:30 pm. A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society.
