Donna J. Ward , age 57 of Pearl City/Loran, IL, passed away at home on Monday, September 30, 2019. She was born December 11, 1961 in Freeport, IL to Henry and Alice (Moore) Sass. She was a 1981 graduate of Shannon High School. Donna married Carl "Skeet" Ward on February 23, 1990.

She worked for FHN for 33 years and helped with FHN Hospice. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and animal lover. Donna enjoyed reading, cooking and caring for others. She was a special and selfless person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She will be remembered for her fun loving personality and her great sense of humor.

She is survived by her husband, Carl "Skeet" Ward of Pearl City/Loran; step-daughter, Jamie (Jason) Schmidt of Dixon, IL; step-grandchildren, Isabella and Colton; sister, Saranne (Greg) Stamm of Dakota, IL; sister-in-law, Deb Sass of Hanover, IL; brother-in-law, Richard Sweitzer of Lanark, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gloria and Kay; and brothers, Dennis and Richard.
