Dorothy J. Amans, 94, of Freeport, died Friday, September 20, 2013, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born March 28, 1919 in Freeport she was the daughter of Frank and Clara (Althouse) Setchell.
She married Harry Amans and he preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a retired school teacher.
Surviving are her daughters, Colleen (Tom "Brian") Amans-Brown of Kent, Holly (Dennis) Amans-Kaiser of Chatham, Massachusetts, Maggie (Ted) Jeffrey- Todis of Upton, Massachusetts, and Betty (Larry) Altensey of Freeport; grandchildren, Tim Arrington, Jaeson and Matthew Fischer, Barb Baron, Robin Moore and Barri Maaske; several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and grandson, Daniel R. Broge.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Stockton for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
