Dorothy M. Daniels, 78, of Freeport, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born November 5, 1929 in Freeport she was the daughter of Fred W. and Matilda (Haring) Jacobs. She married Dwayne A. Daniels September 20, 1952 in Freeport.
She was a 1948 graduate of Dakota High School and attended Browns Business College.
She was a long time member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church active with their Meals on Wheels and Altar Guild.
Dorothy worked at Micro Switch for 12 years.
Surviving are her husband, Dwayne of Freeport; 3 sons, Wayne "Joe" Daniels of Springfield, Jay (Clarissa) Daniels of Huntsville, Alabama, and Jon (Marlene) Daniels of Freeport; 1 daughter, Judy (Robert) Jacobs of Freeport; 3 brothers, Paul (Shirley) Jacobs and Richard (Maria) Jacobs both of Freeport, and James Jacobs of Shannon; ½ brother, Wilmer (Madelyn) Bohnaker of West Allis, WI; 2 grandchildren, Melissa and Crystal Daniels both of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be held Friday, January 4, 2008, 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with Reverend Mark Luepke officiating. Internment of her cremated remains will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
A memorial has been established for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
