Richmond, CA. - Dorothy I. Jones-DeWall, 76, formerly of Freeport died Tuesday January 29, 2008 at her home in Richmond CA. Born August 7, 1931 she was the daughter of Thomas and Beulah Jones. Dorothy was a graduate of the Chicago Art Institute in 1972; she loved to paint local landscapes of the white pines state park and the Midwestern prairie. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Freeport. Surviving is one daughter, Viola (Michael) DeWall of Richmond Ca. and one son, Thomas DeWall of Freeport. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held Monday 10:30 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Freeport with the Reverend Mark Luepke officiating. Entombment will be in Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum, Freeport. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Church. A memorial has been established in her name.
