Obituary
Freeport-Dorothy Mae Julius, 87, a resident of Stephenson Nursing Center, died Friday, October 28, 2005 at the center.
Born February 8, 1918 in Phoenix, Arizona she was the daughter of William and Hazel (Alston) Gassman. She married Vernon W. Julius November 5, 1938 and he died July 25, 1997.
Dorothy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Surviving is her son, Larry (Clara) Julius of Freeport; grandchildren, Teresa (Scott) Landon of Davenport, Iowa and Lisa (David) Pehl of Freeport; great grandchildren, Levi, Noah, and Elizabeth Landon of Davenport, Iowa, Summer and Matthew Pehl of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jack Julius; step sister, Naomi Flickinger; and half brother, Neal Hutmacher.
Funeral service will be Monday 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Reverend Willis Schwichtenberg and Vicar David Daniel officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday 12 noon until time of service at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
A memorial has been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church.
