Dorothy I. Luettig, 68, of Shabbona, formerly of Freeport, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Shabbona Healthcare Center in Shabbona.
Born February 10, 1940 in Freeport she was the daughter of Clyde and Eva (Jones) Miller. She married Leonard Luettig September 6, 1958 in Freeport.
She and her husband owned the The Mower Inn in Freeport for 20 years. Dorothy was the bookkeeper for the business.
Surviving is her husband, Leonard of DeKalb; her daughters, Diane (Jeffrey) Lizer of DeKalb and Arlene (Jeff) Petersen of Byron, Minnesota; her brother, Edwin (Gloria) Miller of Heber Springs, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie Carreno of Freeport, Joshua Lizer of DeKalb, Shaun Dorsey of Machesney Park, Cassandra Bates of Byron, MN, Jordan Bates of Byron, MN, and Cierra Lizer of DeKalb; and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
