Obituary
Freeport-Dorothy June Myers, 79, of Freeport, died Friday, August 24, 2007, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born June 14, 1928 in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Albert J. and Alverna L. (Bolman) Heeter. She married William S. Myers June 24, 1950.
She worked at Burgess Battery, Micro Switch, and then in the Cafeteria at Freeport Junior High School.
Surviving is her husband, William of Freeport; one son, Terry W. (Nancy Jo) Myers of Tigard, Oregon; two daughters, Barbara J. (Reverend Ken) Lawson of Stockton and Sherrie (Ron) Ritchie of Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania; two sisters, LaRue Woleslagle of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania and Elouise Haynes of Emporium, Pennsylvania; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Curtis Heeter.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 1 p.m. at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for the Leonard Ferguson Cancer Center.
