Dorothy C. Oefelein, 93, of Freeport died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Stephenson Nursing Center, Freeport.
Born December 22, 1913 in Freeport she was the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Zoff) Bardell. She Married Kenneth Oefelein August 9, 1935 and he preceded her in death in 2001. Dorothy worked for Burgess Battery and then for Micro Switch before retiring in the 1980's.
Surviving is her son, Glenn (Jeanne) Oefelein of Lena; daughter, Cheryl (Bill) Dunn of Bonita Springs, Florida; one sister, Gertrude Wieland of Freeport and 5 Grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 4 sisters; 2 brothers.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services and internment of her cremated remains will be Monday 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
There will be no visitation.
