Duane Lee Bartelt, 79, of Rock City, IL, passed away on October 30, 2025. He was born on February 5, 1946, in Monroe, WI, son of the late Lloyd and Lillian Bartelt. Duane grew up on the family farm in Winslow.  He graduated from Orangeville High School.

Duane married Linda Zimmerman on October 23, 1964. They were married for 61 years.

Duane worked at Kelly Springfield (Titan Tire) for over 51 years. Duane loved to cheer on the Dakota Indians and especially enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He was a life long Green Bay Packers fan. He served the community in so many ways including board member for Sojourn House and Dakota Athletic Boosters. Duane enjoyed traveling all over the world. His favorite trips were cruising Alaska with his grandchildren.  One of his favorite things to do was to go on fishing trips with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter, Angie, sons Mike (Nancy) and Chris; sister Mary Holland; grandchildren Dylan (Cait), Alyson, Reece and Grace; great-grandchildren Grayson and Hudson; several nieces and nephews; special friend Leonardo from Italy; and special pets Bella and Toby.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Bob.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 2-5 pm at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home - Dakota. Private family only service to follow on November 10, 2025.   His final resting place will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport.
